What fun we had! Our Chair Martin and Trustee Mike Collins had a fantastic night at the Rogered Again tribute to the late Roger Nicklin. A whopping £4178.16 was raised on the night in aid of the Prostate Project and we are so grateful to organisers Mike Ashworth and Glen Vaal who worked so hard to ensure the night was such a success.

“What fun we had on Saturday November 30th! What an excellent turnout; it was a full house as you all experienced; so much so we had to turn away several more potential paying guests in the week of the event. A bigger hall next year maybe!
We were very impressed with the food and our thanks goes to Jon Hibbs for organising that and having it hot and ready to serve at exactly the planned time. If you are after large party or home catering for a special event he is your man.
John Armstrong’s mobile bar plus his helpful, cheerful, staff provided a very good service. Thanks John.
Many people confirmed Glen and Paul played a really nice set. Please do listen to them at another time – they play locally frequently. They did well first on stage in front of a happy crowd.
The Hedge Inspectors – Mike and Caroline – were very impressive with their quirky, funny, tuneful, self-written songs of comment on the modern world. See them again – they, too, often play locally.
Tim Adams, Matthew, Peter, Stan and Simon make up Sultana. Good, thoroughly rehearsed, rock and roll tunes to get you (or some of you) on your feet. We’ve known them for over 20 years; often playing at other charity events. Loved their set too.
We want, also, to thank all of our guests for taking part in the evening in the spirit it was intended – fun, music, food and drink, meeting old friends and even a dance to raise some cash for an important local charity. Precisely what Roger arranged for us all at many charity evenings in the past; a good tribute to him. Thanks, too, to you all for joining in so whole-heartedly in the raffle and the auction of promises.
We, along with all our helpers too many to name individually, are very pleased to announce that the Rogered Again tribute to the late Roger Nicklin went very well financially – this year we raised £4178.16 for The Prostate Project. This sum is being handed over this week; there will be acknowledgement on their website in due course.
