The scorching weather had certainly dried out the fairways (adding more than a little distance to even the most wayward of drives), but Bramley Golf Club was looking splendid for our very special day.

Club Captains Malcolm Roberts and Elizabeth Campbell made sure that as their nominated charity, the Prostate Project was very well represented, our message was everywhere, including on the T Shirts worn by the golf club admin team!

The day was a complete sell-out with teams drawn from individuals and businesses across the area.

And what a day it was.

This year, local businesses sponsored individual tees, and we are grateful to Travel Tony, Home Instead, Big Yellow Feet, Home Instead and Charterhouse Accountants for their generous support (pictured below with our Patron, Jackie Alliss).

We haven’t quite finished the count, but early indications are that we raised over £13,000 and a great deal of awareness with the event.

Thank you to everyone that played, joined us for lunch or sponsored a tee.

Our thanks go especially to everyone at Bramley Golf Club for hosting us so magnificently, Club Captains Malcolm Roberts and Elizabeth Campbell for choosing us as their nominated charity, and our remarkable Patron Jackie Alliss, as well as Sarah Bishop and Bob Marchbanks for all their help.
