We were delighted to be invited to Sutton United Football Club to raise awareness of prostate cancer to the fans. We brought the ManVan to the grounds although not to give PSA blood tests this time around (we plan to do that hopefully in the summer)
Trustee Mike Collins and one of our lovely volunteers, Robert Ledsome, along with Chris Corner and his colleagues from Sutton United Club, spoke to just shy of 40 men about getting tested and their personal experiences with Prostate Cancer, as well as handing out over 200 leaflets.
Mike told us that many of the men they spoke to, shared the difficulty they were having getting to see their GP’s and then getting them to agree to a PSA test, despite all being eligible and a few in extremely high-risk groups,
