Where to begin with the thankyous for this event?

The amazing, relentlessly enthusiastic and energetic Jackie Alliss is a great place to start. Jackie, as Patron, together with her late husband Peter, the much missed ‘Voice of Golf’, has done so much to help our charity that I cannot begin to express my gratitude. A simple ‘thank you’ seems hardly adequate.

Thanks also to our Head of Fundraising, David Whitby for his tireless efforts in organising the event alongside Jackie. I know how much work went into this day, and I know how stressful such an undertaking can be.

Hindhead Golf Club were perfect hosts, I cannot imagine a more professional and well-organised venue, not to mention stunningly beautiful.

Our sponsors, including Guildford Financial, Mandira’s Kitchen, The County Club Guildford, and Green Team Interiors, every single contribution that you made is genuinely appreciated.

A special mention should also go to Group 1 Hindhead BMW for providing a brand new car for our hole in one completion, a wonderful prize that Malcolm Duck of Univar Solutions came within a foot of winning…what a story that would have been!

And finally, to all the players, including our celebrity team (Chris Villiers from Emmerdale, Sion Tudor Owen from Emmerdale, magician Matt Daniel Baker, Alistair Petrie from Sex Education) and teams from Univar Solutions and Golf Clubs across Surrey for making the day so special, we literally could not have done it without you.
