DESCRIPTION:The Eleventh Annual Guildford Beer Festival will take place at Guildford Cricket Club on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 July 2021. \nThe lovely people at the Guildford Beer Festival have offered a cash donation of £20 to the Prostate Project for every volunteer that we can send along to work a 4 hour shift at the festival\, volunteers will receive beer tokens for use at the event and food while on duty. Please contact us if you’d like to help!  The organisers also very kindly offered us a stand in the main festival tent where we can distribute newsletters and flyers to the happy crowds. \nTickets are on sale now and are also available via the Visit Guildford Tourist Information Centre at 155 High Street in Guildford Town Centre.  Click this link to buy tickets: https://guildfordbeerfestival.co.uk/tickets/ \nThe Beer Festival features over 100 cask ales and craft keg beers sourced from around 25 independent and micro-breweries in Surrey\, Hampshire\, Sussex and Berkshire. The beer line up is extremely varied\, with many different ABVs\, colours and different styles of beers (IPAs\, best bitters\, milds\, porters\, stouts\, blonde ales\, strong ales). In addition to the main beer bar\, a second bar has a broad range of ciders\, wines and gins from local producers along with soft drinks. \nThe Guildford Beer Festival also features live musical entertainment and food will be available.

DESCRIPTION:The #TwoPointSixChallenge is your chance to be a Home Hero and raise funds from your very own living room\, bedroom\, balcony or garden! \nWe’re thrilled to be a part of the UK’s biggest Stay at Home fundraiser.\n\nWe’re inviting you\, your family and friends to take part in The 2.6 Challenge from Sunday 26 April to help to save the UK’s charities.  Chose  an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support the Prostate Project. \nThe options are endless and there are no rules – apart from the Government guidelines on social distancing and how to exercise safely during this time. The main thing is to get active\, have fun\, pledge whatever you can to help or fundraise to support us. \nThe Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities\, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. In response\, the organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities. \nThe 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon\, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event. \n  \nHow Can You Get Involved?\n  \nWe’re asking you to take part in an activity of your choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support the Prostate Project.  People of all ages are taking on The 2.6 Challenge with a host of activities: \n\n\n\nwalking\, running or cycling 2.6 miles\nbaking 26 cupcakes\njuggling for 2.6 minutes\nholding online workouts with 26 friends\ntaking your dog for a 26 minute walk\nwalk up and down your stairs for 26 minutes\n\nThe ideas and options are endless! \nMost people are taking part from Sunday 26 April but you can do your activity whenever is most convenient for you. \n\n\n\n\nThere are just five simple steps to take:\n\n\n\n1.
